I follow some pretty interesting groups on facebook... And here's one I found yesterday! (I try to read my facebook messages on my laptop instead of my phone. I can't imagine that I would appreciate the images anywhere near as much on a tiny screen. )
Ravenous Butterflies –- great name -- matches prose with art pretty effectively. This makes me want to do the same thing (in my spare time, of course). Check it out!
One post pairs the above image: The Water-Boys Visit to the Sea Fairy, 1922, A.E. Jackson with a quote from Albert Einstein: “If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”
And another. Otto Bettmann's photograph: Acrobats Perform on a Ledge of the Empire State Building, 1934, is paired with Dee Waldeck's quote: "Life is like a balancing act and we are always just a step away from a fall."
